Real Ethics for Artificial Agents

The Law and Philosophy Workshop is jointly presented by the University of Michigan Philosophy Department and the School of Law. On November 6, we will be discussing “Real Ethics for Artificial Agents,” which is work in progress by Peter Railton, Gregory S. Kavka Distinguished University Professor and John Stephenson Perrin Professor of Philosophy. Our sessions are pre-read, so workshop participants will have read the paper in advance (cf. attachment to this message). Our session will begin with a brief summary and comments by Eric Swanson, followed by an extended question-and-answer session. The session will take place in 1020 Jeffries Hall at the Law School on Wednesday 11/6 from 4:30 to 6:30pm.
