Introduction to Linked Lists in C

Linked lists is a domain where beginning programmers get to practice an example of pointers intensive code. The talk introduces the basics of linked lists in C and focuses on the definition of singly linked lists and their operations. Basic understanding of programming concepts is assumed but no prior experience using linked lists is expected from the audience.
Dr. Rania Hussein is a lecturer of electrical engineering at the University of Washington – Bothell with an established work experience in higher education. She holds a PhD of electrical engineering with a focus on computer engineering, and a MS of computer science from Old Dominion University. Her research interest is on image processing, machine learning, and embedded systems. She held leadership posts in 2 of Seattle's non profit organizations to promote diversity and the educational development of women and youth. She is a senior member of IEEE and a 2017 finalist for the prestigious distinguished teaching award of UW Bothell. She enjoys gardening, reading, and being in the classroom with her students.
