Bio:
Joris Poort is Founder and CEO of Rescale. Prior to founding Rescale, Joris worked as a
consultant at McKinsey & Company on product development in semiconductor and high-
tech engagements. Joris began his career as an engineer at Boeing, where he worked to
optimize the design of the tail and wings on the 787 Dreamliner.

Joris has been recognized by Goldman Sachs as an Exceptional Entrepreneur, by Y
Combinator for building a Top 100 YC Company, and by the World Economic Forum as a
Global Innovator leader founding a Unicorn.

Joris holds an MBA with distinction from Harvard Business School, an M.S. in Aeronautics
and Astronautics magna cum laude from the University of Washington, and a B.S. in
Mechanical Engineering and a minor in Applied Mathematics magna cum laude from the
University of Michigan.
