Dave Swanson is Director of R & D for Electronic Arts-Tiburon in Maitland, Florida
The talk will cover the process of developing a game like Madden NFL
Football. There will also be an overview of the technology behind the
games. Real Madden examples will be used to show the types of problems game
developers face on a regular basis.

Dave Swanson is the Director of R&D for Electronic Arts-Tiburon in Maitland,
Florida. Dave has been with Tiburon for almost 10 years from the 8 person
start up to the 400 person subsidiary of Electronic Arts.
He started his career as an assembly language programmer on the Sega
Genesis. Dave was lead programmer on Madden NFL Football for a number of
years creating games for the Sony PlayStation, Sega Saturn, Nintendo 64,
Sony PlayStation2, Microsoft XBox, Nintendo Gamecube, and PC platforms. He
continues to work on core technology that will be used to create the future
of Madden and EA-Tiburon's other games.
